As long as polio threatens even one child anywhere in the world, children everywhere remain at risk. The stakes are that high.

In honor of World Polio Day on Sunday, October 24, The Rotary Foundation is offering 2 for 1 recognition points for every online contribution of US$100 or more made to PolioPlus during October 18-24, 2010.
PolioPlus has been an important and world recognized program of The Rotary Foundation since 1985 and we are now so very close to the goal of eradicating polio from our planet. Let's give it a final push to success by meeting Rotary's $200M Challenge.

The Challenge:

Your contribution will help Rotary raise $200 million to match $355 million in challenge grants received from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. The resulting $555 million will directly support immunization campaigns in developing countries, where polio continues to infect and paralyze children, robbing them of their futures and compounding the hardships faced by their families.

Rotarians may go to to make their online contribution. Rotarians will need to have registered with Rotary's Member Access. Through Member Access, Rotarians are able to access online services and features. Rotarians may register for Member Access at

Please note that contributions on are in US dollars and will receive a US tax receipt. Donors will need to print the tax receipt at the time of donation. Also, online contributions cannot be made on behalf of another individual, club or district.
