Speaker

Ashley Litalien, Store Manager at Macy’s in Strongsville’s SouthPark Mall, shared her journey from Oregon to Cleveland and her 12-year career with the company. She addressed common concerns about store closures, reassuring the group that the Strongsville location is not on any closure list and highlighting new initiatives aimed at revitalizing customer experience and community connection.

Ashley outlined two key Macy’s programs for community involvement:

Macy’s Mission Every One – A corporate giving program focused on equity and sustainability.

Round-Up Campaigns – Monthly fundraising opportunities where customers can round up purchases to benefit nonprofits. In October, stores can nominate a local 501(c)(3), especially those focused on youth.

She described several partnership models, including:

Hosting community or Chamber events in-store

Participating in school and hospital events

“Shop with a Cop” and Big Brothers Big Sisters holiday shopping
