Meeting Recap

Jim Morehouse led the invocation and pledge.
High School Students
Don Slovik brought a couple of members of the High School Success (formerly Connections) Program to provide an update on the program.  The program has 45 students, 18 sophomores and two freshmen classes.  In the first quarter 80% of the classes the students took they passed, and in the second quarter that improved to 86%.
New Member Bio
Dustin Passalacqua gave his bio.  Dustin grew up moving place to place, school to school, home to home, and came out of that as a hard worker with a great work ethic.  He started in the auto industry for a number of years, and then decided to go into the police academy, however after a year decided it wasn't for him, and got into the finance industry to try and figure out how to make the biggest impact in people's lives.  He focuses on financial literacy and residential mortgages.  He was invited into the club by Bill DeMarco, who is his neighbor.  He is married with a 4 year old daughter, and a baby boy on the way.
Chili Open
The Chili Open planning is well under way.  We do still need plenty of volunteers to help prepare the event.  If you are able to help out between now and the end of February please talk to TJ or another Chili Open committee member. Help is particularly needed with the corporate sponsor and auction committees.

We plan to have ticket sales open next week, with admission and raffle tickets at next weeks meeting as stocking stuffers.
