Dustin Passalacqua's table won the drawing. They are responsible for setting up this week. There are 42 cards left and the queen is worth $278.

Volunteers

We will have signup sheets Friday for the scholarship grading on April 4th, and the Easter Bunny event on April 12th, or you can sign up online with ClubRunner. Check the bottom of this email if you are already signed up.

Scholarships

The scholarship application forms are available on our website (link at the bottom of the email). The deadline is March 27th. We will be grading the applications after the April 4th meeting. There is a signup list on ClubRunner, or contact John Turnbull or Scott Maloney if you want to participate in the grading.

RYLA

The club has budgeted to send two students to RYLA this June 8-12 at Hiram College. If you know any high school juniors who will be seniors in the 2025-26 school year who would be interested in a 5-day leadership training camp please have them get in contact. We will have an application form shortly.

New Member Induction

On Friday we inducted our newest member, Sarah Wingler, to the club sponsored by John Turnbull.

Sarah is a past recipient of the Rotary Foundation's Service Above Scholarship, and she attended Cleveland State University with a degree in Business Administration.

She works in wealth management at Baird in Cleveland, and was joined at the meeting by her colleague and Cleveland Rotarian Jerry Jarzabek.

If you didn't get a chance to welcome Sarah into the club on Friday please do so next time you see her.

Birthdays and Anniversaries

Ted Sawicki led our celebrations of our March birthdays (Carl Vasch, Jim Southworth, Scott Maloney, Jim Dettmer, Rick Weiser, Dick Kiplinger, Mike Moscarino and DQ Johnson) with Scott winning the wheel.

Strongsville Rotary Foundation Scholarships

The Strongsville Rotary Foundation will award several college scholarships to high school seniors who live in Strongsville. One is reserved for a parochial student and one is reserved for a Polaris student.

Applications are available in the High School Guidance office or download the Scholarship Application form here.

Applications must be RECEIVED by Rotary by Thursday, March 27 2025 to be considered. Mailing instructions are on the applications.
