Chris Kaiser – Cleveland Cavaliers Marketing & Momentum
Last Friday, we welcomed Chris Kaiser, Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Chris is a Strongsville resident whose children attend St. Joseph and John School, and we appreciate his support of our upcoming Chili Open with a great auction item.
Chris shared that he has spent 15 years in the NBA, including 4–5 years with the Phoenix Suns before returning to Ohio.
As Chief Marketing Officer for the Cavaliers, he oversees the organization’s brand, marketing, uniforms, court design, game presentation, retail strategy, and corporate partnerships — essentially everything connected to how fans experience the team.
He spoke about the contrast between different NBA organizations and emphasized how meaningful it is to work for a franchise with deep community roots and strong local pride.
Given the Cavaliers’ recent roster moves and strong stretch of play, it was a timely visit. Chris discussed the team’s early success, the importance of health heading into the playoffs, and how roster changes can add both toughness and leadership.
The conversation included James Harden— his evolution as a player, his international appeal, and his growing presence both on and off the court.
There were also questions about former Cavalier LeBron James and his lasting impact on the franchise and the league.
Chris encouraged members who haven’t attended recently to experience a game at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse. From in-game entertainment to themed events and retail, the organization continues investing in making each game a full evening experience — not just a basketball game.
