Member Recognition
Last week Ashley recognized Kevin Kennedy for organizing the volunteers for the Grand Slam Beer Fest, Dan Cricks for his help with keeping The Post updated on our activities, and Ray Longerich for helping the St Paul Health Ministry and Gloria Harris-Isom who borrowed our pop-up tents for their event.
Departing Member
Linda Plain presided over the birthdays for the last time. She will be moving in with her daughter in Brunswick, and decided to step down from the club. We shall all miss Linda, and many stories were shared.
Birthdays
We recognized our July birthdays, Tom Drost, Sheila Dunn, Yola Kalinowski (Honorary), Michael Weber, Patrick Dominguez, Bernard Leatherman, Manjit Khuban, Joyce Reed, Rob Gillingham, Bill Gordon and Nick Gerogosian. Manjit won the drawing for a Panera gift card. If you want to take over the monthly recognition of birthdays please contact a board member.
StrongFest
The event will benefit the Town Center Initiative in addition to other Rotary projects throughout the year. The Town Center Initiative will enhance the center of Strongsville, and provide a better space for events like StrongFest in years to come.

Speaker
Our speaker was Beth Seese RN, CDP from Altenheim who gave a presentation on dementia, it's prevalence, risk factors, and progression, along with some ideas for prevention in terms of healthy and lifestyle changes in your 30s and 40s that may make a difference in your dementia risk.
George Tomko's table won the The Queen of Hearts drawing. They are responsible for putting up the banners and selling tickets this week. The Queen is worth $630, and there are 31 cards left..png)
