Ken Dooner's table won the The Queen of Hearts drawing and is responsible for putting up the banners and selling tickets next week. There are 38 cards left and the pot is currently $379.
Board Meetings
The club board meeting was this morning, and the foundation board meeting will be on Thursday Sep 23rd at the Senior Center with a Zoom option. All members are welcome to attend, and it is a requirement for new members to attain their blue badge.
Club Social Tonight
There is a club social tonight at Rosewood Grill, 6pm. Everyone is welcome.
Golf Outing
The golf outing is this week on September 17th, which will take place immediately following our meeting, which will take place at Bunker Hill.
Clam Bake Social
The club will have a clam bake social on October 23rd at Boys Hope Girls Hope. Full details can be found in the ClubRunner Event, which also lets you register. Payment can be made at a club meeting, or an online payment form will be available soon.
Volunteers Needed
Jeff Ellis is looking for volunteers to help deliver backpacks of food on Thursdays from the food bank to the schools. This is the program initiated by Cassie during her presidency to help feed kids over the weekend who rely on school meals.
John Turnbull is looking for members of the Scholarship Committee. Before the end of the year we will review the application form and processes to be ready to distribute the forms at the beginning of the year, and score the applications in time to choose the scholarship winners.
Breakfast on the Bridge / Day at the Chalet
A reminder that on Sunday the Breakfast on the Bridge host by the Strongsville City Club and Day at the Chalet by the Arts In Strongsville events will take place.
