Strongsville Police Department Giving Tree

The police department vestibule has a giving tree that supports The Purpose of Change (The Robert Dick Foundation) which aims to help the homeless and those in recovery and trying to get back on their feet.  If you picked up a tag Friday at the meeting note that they request the gifts not be wrapped, and that the item written on the back of the tag was a suggestion.  The Amazon Wish List is at: https://www.amazon.com/registries/gl/guest-view/2QIVHRSAQM9JU?ref=gr_search_page_result

Winter Wonderland 2025

Thanks to all the volunteers who showed up Sunday November 23rd to serve hot chocolate on the Strongsville Commons at the lighting ceremony.  With great weather the event was well attended, and we handed out about 2,000 cups of hot chocolate (75 gallons).

Firefighter Gear 2025

A big thank you to the City of Strongsville and the Strongsville Fire Department for donating their used turnout gear that no longer meets US safety standards, but will be invaluable to firefighters in Guyana.  The gear will fill one and a half pallets, and we will fill the second pallet with school supplies, to be shipped to a rural community in Guyana.  Members of our club will be packing the pallets, and driving them to New York to be loaded onto a ship going to Guyana.  We are coordinating with a Rotary Club in Guyana to make sure the supplies go to those in need.
