Speaker

John Turnbull spoke on artificial intelligence, Chat GPT and related new technologies.  With large language models like Chat GPT computers are good at using language as a tool.  It can be deceiving to think that they are intelligent, or actually know anything beyond how to create plausible sounding content.

You can try it yourself at chat.openai.com to see how it works, although your inputs may be used to train future versions.  The better you describe what you are looking for the better the result will be, just don't expect factual accuracy.  It can be useful for either creating common content in an appropriate tone (e.g. "write me a complaint letter about ..."), or as a brain storm to get ideas (e.g. "I need a promotional piece for <type of company> about our <special>").  You can then add your own personality.
