Speaker
Our speaker was Ken Fanger, who talked about cyber security, and steps you can take to avoid being defrauded. One point was to be willing to talk about it, and being fooled can happen to anyone, so don't judge people who share their story, and the more people are willing to share their story, the more aware we all become and the less likely to be taken in.
Ken's three steps to keep in mind. First, Relax. When you are feeling panic, excitement, or other heightened emotion your decision making is worse. Second, take a moment to think if what you are being told is possible, and try and confirm the information somehow you can trust, keeping in mind that if it's too good to be true, it probably is. Third, once you have relaxed, evaluated the situation, then you can choose how to act, rather than reacting.
