Strongsville Historical Society

Valerie Mattingley returned to northeast Ohio at the end of 2017 and soon joined the Strongsville Historical Society.  She is currently a tour guide, board member, and researcher when questions are submitted by email.

    She began researching history as a volunteer with the Columbus Metro Parks for 10 years, where she created educational displays and PowerPoint programs, and assisted or led trail programs (sometimes in "period" costume).

    "Living history" and museums have been an interest as far back as elementary school.
